Republic Act 10361_The Kasambahay Bill

Hi Yah Working Moms!

Who we gonna call to take care of our little angels every time we leave to make a living???  It's a SUPER NANNY!!!


As a first time mom and a first time employer, Employer to my Ethan's Yaya. I am new in handling Yaya employment, funny isn't it.. Im an HR practioner in my office, but employing a kasambahay is a different thing, The Employment of  Househelpers Stipulated in the Labor Code of The Philippines has a very minimal information, and i say that this is need to be updated, We treat our kasamabahy fair naman, with  a makatarungan monthly salary, a very comfortable higaan, with blanket, pillows, electric fan.. even a TV inside her bedroom.. yuff!!! She has her own bedroom ( as in nde quarters ha:-))  (pero hina signal)hehe! There's a lot of foods and  she can eat what she wants, free use of toiletries (except soap and shampoo, choosy sya eh.. nde nya brand ang brand ko)  she can go naman if she wants, she can join us on our gala naman. She had this 2 week vacation last christmas with pay and a bonus, hatid sundo pa sa terminal. I always call her "sossy yaya"  

We're fine with this set-up..

Oh my!!!  I asked for the updated version and here it is... naku!!! mukhang mapapalaki pa ang gastos ko! need her to register in SSS and PHIC, so extra cost for me for her contribution tapos kailangan ko pa mag leave to accompany her sa SSS and Philhealth. 

I also learned that I give above the minimum salary, vacation Leave and also increased her by 10%.  The opportunity for education, This is fine with me. basta ba alagaan ng mabuti ni Yaya si Ethan:-)

Pero paano naman sa mga iba na walang mapag iiwanan ng anak nila?  sino magbabantay sa bata? o kaya sa mga helpers ng bahay? sino magbabantay ng bahay habang wala si amo?  edi mag paparty ang mga magnanakaw?  tapos bira pa ang Kasambahay Law ng 8 hours resting period a day? .. naku! problema ko to!!! nakakauwi na ako ng 8PM. magluuto pa ako at kakain.. after nito.. mag aalaga na ulit ako ke Ethan kasi resting period na ni yaya?  awts!!!!  e si yaya naman alaga lang ke Ethan, na walang ginawa kundi manoond ng TV, maglaro ng kotse kotsehan, mag slide sa clubhouse, kumain at matulog (syempre tulog din si yaya pag tulog alaga) hala! Mukhang pagod na pagod ako dito ah.  

At eto ang nde ko na take.... pede umalis si yaya for 5 days notice? hala!!! nde ito makatarungan!!! ganon ganon lang ha? ok fine, pede to  basta ilalagay ko sa contract.. 5 days notice basta may kapalit si yaya! ok na ko dun:-)
